FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A New Paradigm for Control with grandMA Video Server

New Paradigm for Control with grandMA Video Server - Riverview Systems GroupSan Jose, Ca. – Riverview Systems Group, a leading full-service audio/visual resource, specializing in the rental, sale, design, staging and installation of lighting, sound and projection systems, today announced the addition of the renowned grandMA video server system to their inventory.

MA Lighting designed the grandMA to make programming lighting faster and make running media on the fly a breeze. The cross communication between the desk and the servers is one of the biggest selling point to operators, designers and producers. One key feature of the system is that an entire show can be run from one data pipe. The grandMA system offers scalability and flexibility and has years of development behind it which translates into rock solid performance. The grandMA video server has the most flexibility and the most power of any system available. There are other media servers available in the same class, but none of them have as many hands-on features.

  • An affordable software solution for controlling, live-accessing and altering video, still images and 3D-objects in real-time via any grandMA console
  • Up to 32 layers with multiple simultaneous full effects capabilities for high-resolution projections (up to 2,048 x 2,048 Pixel) plus one masterlayer for beam shapers, iris effects and layers for keystoning and softedging
  • Up to 31 grandMA video stations in one grandMA network session
  • Realtime access and control plus frame synchronous output on all stations based on the internal synchronisation (MA-Net)
  • Straightforward set-up and configuration that utilizes bi-directional communication with any grandMA console
  • Content upload without restarting the system
  • Instant live access from the grandMA console to the PC for content browsing including Projector Preview
  • Thumbnails in presets for easy clip selection
  • FOH-Blind-Programming directly from the console for preparing cues without having effect on the current output
  • 4x Video In to integrate live cameras or decks; softedge; keystoning plus X/Y perspective correction
  • Pixel Mapper to output video to a DMX matrix, up to 256 universes with only one grandMA video application
  • grandMA video admin is a useful tool for monitoring and accessing any grandMA video application connected to the MA-Net

Naturally, grandMA video is a fully integrated part of the grandMA network system and is not just triggered via DMX. This feature has many advantages. On the one hand a minimum of setup and configuration is required due to bi-directional communication between the console and the grandMA video software. On the other hand the grandMA console allows for direct access to the server and previews the content as thumbnails in the presets. Therefore the PC can be placed near the projector / the moving video light – to avoid long distance video cabling for saving costs, enhance the performance and prevent quality losses.

Software Features:

At its most basic level, grandMA video allows for the control of several moving images and high-resolution images simultaneously. Videos and still images can be combined, mixed and controlled using any grandMA console like a regular multi-parameter fixture. For this, up to 32 layers are available plus one master layer representing the sum of all layers with shaper and iris effects and remote PC control.

Additionally, grandMA video offers the possibility of choosing any 3D-object as a surface for video or still images. Cubes, cylinders, spheres, extruded logos or any other 3D shapes can be “textured” with complimentary images, videos and even live video inputs. The position and orientation of these 3D-objects are fully controllable from the grandMA console. You could start with a cube rotating and progress to a three-dimensional logo flying around. You are only limited by your imagination.
